Small Antennas

VTAG has small, low-profile antenna elements suitable for embedding in wireless handheld devices. One version has 40% bandwidth.

Material and Antenna Characterization

Several software packages are available for antenna simulation. Techniques have been developed for broadband measurement characterization of both dielectric materials and antennas. Unique techniques have been developed for remote antenna impedance measurement and balanced antenna impedance measurement.

Stub-Loaded Helix

The Stub-Loaded Helix (patent applied for) performs similarly to but is 30% of the volume of a conventional helix antenna. This 25% bandwidth circularly polarized antenna has many applications.

Wideband Elements

The Antenna Group has techniques for building low-cost printed wideband antennas with bandwidths from 25% to 10:1. This includes single- and dual-polarization elements. The Foursquare (patent applied for) is a very low profile antenna for wideband, dual polarized applications.

Wideband Arrays

Unique designs of arrays of wideband elements are ready for applications. Wide continuous bandwidths as well as multiple bands are available. Both inexpensive fixed-phase, flat plate arrays and wide-scanning phased arrays are possible.
